Hi, I’m hailey.
I am a proud wife to my incredible Husband Kyle, and a mother of two.
Becoming a mom has been one of the most rewarding, yet challenging things I have ever endured thus far in my life. wHICH HAS BROUGHT ME TO THIS AMAZING SPACE TO SUPPORT MOMS DURING PREGANCY, BIRTH, AND BEYOND.
I AM EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE i AM NOW A CERTIFIED Athleticism coach, AND continuing MY education as a Holistic Nutritionist.
my Journey to becoming a doula
It all started after I had my first son. To be honest I had no idea what to expect, from being pregnant to the birth, what to look for in a provider, resources, how to prepare myself for a baby, and all the postpartum challenges. I went into my birth relying on my Obstetrician to help guide me. Looking back I didn’t do the appropriate research on what my options were. Once I had my son, I struggled a lot and felt very alone in what I would call a battle at the time. I needed guidance, resources, and help with this new transition into parenthood. After months of struggling to get into a safe place, someone close to me (a family of triplets I was a doula before I even knew what a doula was) mentioned I should look into a “Doula”. At this point I was not looking for help, however, I started reading what a Doula was all about, and right away I felt this was something that I needed to invest my time into. I already learned the Postpartum Doula role from when I was helping with triplets at 19 years old. That point in time in my life was an incredible gift that I cherish. Then when I was pregnant with my second son, I was lucky enough to of had an amazing support team throughout both my pregnancy and my birth. I had the opportunity to birth in a Midwifery Unit at the hospital, alongside my husband and my Doula. My experience was totally different from beginning to end and I felt so empowered and it changed my outlook on what birth should actually look like. I want to be able to assist families to manage the pregnancy anxieties that they have leading up to birth, provide resources and knowledge so families can achieve confidence during labor, help with a smooth and calm transition into parenthood by providing that postpartum support, but most importantly to remind the mother that she has the power to have the birth that she wants and deserves. To remind her that she can honor herself, follow her intuition, trust that she knows best for HER body, and have an empowered BADASS BIRTH.
I am hoping that this is your first step into navigating what YOUR pregnancy, birth and postpartum will look like. Being able to assist your family would be an absolute honor, and I hope to connect with you soon.
